Dr. Mahmoud Naghshineh is the Chief Technology Officer for IBM Global Industries. He is responsible for addressing industry needs and innovation opportunities based on IBM technology and platforms across IBM global markets. Dr. Naghshineh has been in leadership role both on business as well as technology sides. He has led major IBM businesses as a general manager in strategic partnerships, business consulting and industry solutions. He has also been a Vice President at IBM Research responsible for industry innovation, cloud technologies as well as AI applications. He has more than 110 technical publications and 70 patents.
Dr. Naghshineh is a board member of the IBM Industry Academy and a Fellow of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). In the past, he has served as a member of the World Economic Forum, an advisor and an adjunct professor at Columbia University School of Engineering as well as Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Wireless Communications. He holds a doctoral degree from Columbia University Department of Electrical Engineering.
The Columbia | IBM Launch Accelerator is a non-dilutive program for building and scaling successful companies in the areas of data transparency, big data, AI/ML, blockchain, cybersecurity, or related fields in deep tech. The goal of the program is to help the best emerging ventures succeed through education, mentorship, and business model design.
